Fayette County commissioners unanimously approved several FY2025–26 purchase-of-service agreements for Children & Youth Services at their Feb. 19 meeting, recording rates for court testimony, assessments, therapy sessions and placement services.
Commissioners approved a contract with CPP Behavioral Health that sets a flat half-day court-testimony rate of $325, additional unscheduled time at $100 per 30 minutes, and testimony-preparedness meetings at $80 per hour. A separate agreement with Ember & Bloom Health and Wellness LLC authorized anger-management and batterer intervention services with listed fees: assessments $100, individual sessions $45 and court testimony $300. The board also approved placement and service rates with Familylinks Inc., listing initial clothing at $250 and placement rates ranging from $259.48 to $1,772.09 depending on service and level of care.
Why it matters: These contracts set the fees the county will pay for court testimony and specialized services for juveniles and families, and they establish placement-rate ceilings that affect budgeting for placements and vendor payments.
Implementation: The agreements were approved by unanimous voice vote. The Children & Youth Services office will proceed with vendor payments under the rates recorded in the approved contracts; any changes will require subsequent board action.
No public debate on rates was recorded in the meeting minutes.
