Bernards Township Committee proclaims National Night Out, highlights demonstrations and family activities

The Bernards Township Committee on July 29 unanimously adopted Resolution 2025‑0286 recognizing National Night Out and appointed a liaison to coordinate the event.
Sergeant Baldessieri outlined the evening’s planned attractions, including a New Jersey National Guard vehicle display, a State Police helicopter landing and demonstration, a Somerset County Sheriff canine demonstration, vehicle extrication demonstrations with local fire departments, tactical demonstrations by a private vendor, and family activities organized by Parks & Recreation. The event is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Aug. 5 at the municipal complex with parking at Ridge High School.
Committee members thanked Parks & Recreation director Jennifer Gander and volunteers, noting the event’s role in strengthening ties between residents and first responders. The resolution passed on a voice vote after a motion and second.
