Winners announced included Carmela Arnett (Dodgertown Elementary, creating My Own Constellation), William Chu (Storm Grove Middle, Porsche 911 GT3 RS), Daniella Martinez (Vero Beach High, art glass marbles), Katie Persons (Indian River Charter High, 'Myrtle' sculpture), Conrad Arnold (Indian River Charter High, digital art 'The Signal'), Christian Hurtado (Storm Grove Middle, Community Choice Award), and Yuri Jeanvier (superintendent's choice).
The board also unveiled a collaborative community canvas inspired by 'Starry Night,' introduced Dana Matheny (district art lead) and presented her with a certificate of recognition for her leadership in the visual arts program.
The awards and presentations concluded before the business portion of the meeting, and family photo opportunities and further community events were noted.
