Garrett described efforts to reduce trips to emergency rooms through medication review and closer follow-up. “Our focus at our office is focusing on same day or next day appointments,” she said, and noted the practice’s use of telehealth to improve access for rural patients.
Committee members asked about insurance and whether the clinic is part of a larger network. Garrett said Pinnacle has five offices in the Reno area plus a Carson City location and denied a rumor that Prominence Health Plan was leaving the area: “which is absolutely not true,” she said.
Garrett also described the practice’s local partnerships — including one with Alpine Basin Care for wound care — and said the Fernley office is at 805 East Main Street, Suite A. She listed her in‑office days (Tuesdays and Thursdays) and said patients can use an online scheduling QR code provided to the committee.
The committee thanked Garrett and signaled interest in coordinating outreach, including a health fair the committee and Pinnacle hope to support. Garrett said she would follow up with contact information for the clinic and staff.
