The presentation prompted questions from board members about whether language in the plan is sufficiently measurable. “The thing with the strategic plan… it has a lot of soft things,” said Mr. Dyer, urging that goals be framed as achieved and accomplished. Board members asked for data that includes students who have tested out of grade‑level math and for updates on the tentative Glendale move and Phase 2 fundraising for the Jimmy Graves Community Complex; Moore said Phase 1 is complete and district staff are defining priorities and timing for the next phase, and that rising construction costs required additional fundraising.
