The Lincoln County Board approved county vouchers and authorized an internal transfer to correct a budgeting error during its Oct. 6 session.
Recorder/Auditor Amy Elmer reported fund balances across several county accounts and said an internal transfer from Fund 1 into Fund 129 (Special Projects) of roughly $315,000 was required because items had been budgeted but not recorded correctly. Amy said $100,000 would be shown as an augmented General County expense.
Commissioner Mike Reese moved to approve the vouchers with the exception of the Pearson Brothers voucher; Commissioner Lisa Poulsen seconded and the motion passed. The board then separately moved to approve the Pearson Brothers voucher; Commissioner Keith Pearson abstained from that vote and the motion carried.
The board did not provide further public detail about the Pearson Brothers voucher during the meeting; the recorder/auditor handled the accounting explanations and transfers.
Action taken: vouchers and transfer authorized; a single abstention was recorded for the Pearson Brothers voucher.
