The Lincoln County Board voted Sept. 2 to join subdivision participation under Exhibit K to the One Nevada Agreement, approving allocation terms for two opioid-settlement streams.
Commissioner Lisa Poulsen moved to approve Exhibit K for allocations arising from eight manufacturers; the minutes record the State’s scheduled share at $8,921,593.50 and note that Lincoln County will receive its portion over a ten-year distribution. The Board then approved a separate Exhibit K for funds tied to the Purdue bankruptcy and Sackler settlement; the State’s scheduled share was recorded as $57,941,815.03, with county portions to be received over ten years.
Board members did not debate the distribution formulas in detail during the meeting; county staff and the County Attorney were assigned to track allocations and reporting requirements going forward.
The approvals do not represent immediate cash receipts to the county; the minutes note distributions will occur on the timetable specified in the larger One Nevada Agreement.
