Developer representative: hospital project remains in due diligence; county to await hospital decision

Bowman said the developer continues its due diligence, has provided the commission's comments on covenants to the hospital team, and expects to coordinate with county staff — including the clerk’s office and potentially the budget department — to gather items the county needs before proceeding. "We, are going to work with the county, the clerk's office, and possibly the budget, department and others to get some of the items that we want," Bowman said.
Bowman told the committee he will send an update and a summary of the past month's work in the next few days but that he expects it will be several weeks before the hospital makes further decisions. A committee member said the project remains in a holding pattern.
The remarks indicate the developer and county staff are continuing standard review and coordination steps; there was no new decision or vote at the March 25 meeting.
