Commissioners reported that code enforcement has issued a violation notice and a summons to the property owner of the Red Bank Register Building, 40 Broad Street, after exterior façade work was performed without an application to the Historic Preservation Commission.
At the meeting a commissioner said code enforcement served the notice because the owner failed to submit the required application; the case is scheduled for court on Sept. 4. The commission said staff will follow up and report the enforcement outcome to the commission after the hearing.
No further enforcement action or penalties were announced at the meeting.
