Palmdale trustees approve MOUs, contracts and personnel actions including non-reelections and claims decisions

Procurement approvals included an E-Rate high-speed Internet services agreement with the Los Angeles County Office of Education at $59,604 per year for three years, and a wireless access-point and cabling award to CDW Government LLC totaling $821,617.19 funded by E-Rate and LCAP funds. The board also approved transportation service agreements with Coach America for school travel ($11,450 and $15,750 for two events) and a summer youth soccer program agreement with Soccer Stars of the Antelope Valley for $8,100.
In closed session and reported afterward, Ryan Beardsley said the board denied a formal complaint appeal (employee code 08012526), accepted a teacher resignation effective June 30, 2026, and approved the non-reelection of multiple certificated employees for the 2026—27 school year with notices to be issued on or before March 15 pursuant to Education Code procedures. Beardsley also reported the board accepted a claim filed by Zachary King (property loss alleged 10/31/2025) and rejected a claim filed by Gary Partemian, Esq., on behalf of a minor regarding alleged damages at Barrel Springs Elementary.
Most motions on the consent and action calendars passed by recorded voice with votes of 5 to 0.
