Calvert invited attendees to use a live QR code to populate a Mentimeter activity during the forum and said staff will use the input to place OSI in community locations. He announced the collaborators' first meeting of the year will be Friday, Feb. 13 at 9:30 a.m. in City Hall council chambers.
Calvert said the office is reviving a climate‑heroes recognition program and plans to highlight individuals and partners in OSI communications, social media and the city observer. He emphasized equity in outreach: surveys and targeted demographic feedback will help staff understand who the programs reach and where to broaden access.
When an attendee urged a more urgent, movement‑level tone on climate, Calvert replied that engagement work must include people who do not yet see themselves as part of the climate movement and that the office’s approach combines education, mitigation and assistance with community partners to expand participation.
