District presents conservative FY2026 budget as federal ESSER funding sunsets

Board members asked questions about the impact of grant reductions and the timing of federal and state funding changes. The presenter clarified that the district applies annually for a property tax-relief grant and was approved in the past but that a state-level freeze has put that funding into question.
The budget review did not include final dollar totals in the presented segments; the presenter characterized the plan as conservative pending resolution of bargaining with two units and confirmation of external grants.
