Tustin commission receives Parks & Recreation annual report noting more than 3 million park visits

The Tustin City Community Services Commission voted unanimously to receive and file the Parks & Recreation Department’s 2025 annual report, a 40–42 page document staff described as a summary of the department’s programs and usage.
“On the inside front cover… we got over 3,000,000 park visits over the year,” Director Clanton said while presenting the report and noting it is intended for commission information rather than action. Commissioners thanked staff for the design and clarity of the document; several singled out Alyssa Rojas for leading the report’s redesign.
The report, which Director Clanton said is distributed to City Council and the city’s appointed commissions, aggregates attendance and participation figures, program revenues and highlights from the department’s special events, classes and public-art work. Clanton said the department will consider making the annual report more broadly available online.
Chair Wesson called for a motion to receive and file the report; Chair Pro Tem Henderson moved and Commissioner Schumer seconded. The motion passed with all commissioners responding “Aye.”
The commission did not take further action on the report; staff said they will return with any items that require follow-up or implementation details in future meetings.
