The Voorhees Township Board of Education voted unanimously on several committee-recommended items and approved an appointment to oversee the superintendent search during its March 18 meeting.
On the consent side of the agenda, the board approved policy items recommended by the policy committee (including a revised cell-phone/electronic-communication policy aligned to new state law), curriculum committee recommendations and personnel and finance items. The board recorded online and voice votes for the committee motions, and those motions passed without recorded dissent.
After an executive-session discussion that included legal advice on the superintendent search and personnel matters, the board returned to open session and moved to appoint Hazard, Young & Associates to perform the superintendent search for a total of $21,500, contingent on receipt of required paperwork and approval by the business administrator. The board conducted a roll-call vote; each member present voted in favor and the motion passed unanimously.
Chair announced the next regular meeting date as May 6, 2026, and the meeting was adjourned.
