"That is phase 1. Phase 2 will be the rest of the project, so the actual physical roundabout, the realigning of the road, sidewalks, tree planting, etcetera," she said.
Commissioners asked for a clearer timetable and were told the berm removal construction contract was recently awarded, but an overall start date for later phases was not provided. The group agreed to add the West Avenue median near the Sono collection to the next agenda for further review with engineering and the urban forestry team.
Next steps: staff will share available design materials and notify the commission when the landscape plan reaches the stage for formal comment.
