The Board agreed to schedule a special meeting to discuss the Economic Development Commission and Youth Commission after polling members for availability, targeting June 25 or June 26.
Trustee Nathaniel Booker sought approval for several conference and event expenses in June and July. The board voted on each request separately: the Congressional host ticket and an Illinois Dept. reception were not approved; attendance at the Legacy of Bishop Dr. Claude Porter event and registration for the National Black Caucus Elected Officials Conference were approved by recorded votes.
Trustee Booker also moved to increase pay for a part‑time office assistant (Alexzondrea Taylor) from $14 to $16 per hour. An initial motion was withdrawn; the board later approved directing Village Attorney Michael Jurusik to prepare an updated part‑time employment agreement and to reflect the budgetary coverage, which passed 5–2.
