West Orange Board unanimously approves personnel, curriculum, finance and reports items

At the July 22 meeting the board approved personnel items A1–A7, curriculum items B1–B3, finance items (C special services A1–A3 and business office B1–B15) and reports D1–D3; motions were moved by Mr. Stevenson, seconded and passed by roll call.
The West Orange Board of Education unanimously approved several routine agenda items at its July 22, 2024 meeting, including personnel changes, curriculum updates, finance slate and routine reports.
President Rock called for motions on each slate. Mr. Stevenson moved and Mr. Ifker seconded approval of personnel items A1–A7; the board approved the personnel slate by roll call. The board then approved curriculum and instruction items B1–B3 after a motion by Mr. Stevenson and a second by Mr. Ifker. Finance items — described as C special services A1–A3 and business office items B1–B15 in the agenda — were moved, seconded and approved by roll call. Finally, the board approved reports items D1–D3 following the same process.
Roll-call responses recorded in the meeting transcript indicated affirmative votes from board members in attendance. The board chair announced the next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 26, 2024, in the West Orange High School Library Media Center and said there would be no executive session after the July 22 meeting.
