Appointments to the Citizen Bond Oversight Committee were confirmed, with Joanne Chen reappointed and Angelina Ruedes approved to fill a business‑community member slot. Board members thanked volunteers for their service and discussed succession needs for the committee.
A series of proclamations recognizing Water Awareness Month (May), School Lunch Hero Day, National School Nurse Day, Interpreter Appreciation Day, Teacher Appreciation Week and Classified School Employees Week were adopted by voice vote. Walnut Valley Water District representatives attended and were thanked by the board in connection with Water Awareness Month activities.
The board also approved a stipulated expulsion for a student (Student No. 25‑26‑05) and adopted the consent calendar. The meeting concluded with board member remarks celebrating district staff and student achievements and adjourned at 8:42 p.m.
