Lehi Young, a teacher at Linda School, used public comment at the April 14 meeting to urge the board to reconsider the dismissal of assistant principal Monica Vanderstoev.
Young said Linda School has had multiple principals and assistant principals since the pandemic and that Vanderstoev provided continuity, removed classroom disruptions and counseled students so they could return to learning. “She removes children from the classroom who cause massive disruptions,” Young said, and described the administrator’s interventions as critical to classroom safety and instruction.
The comment was delivered during the public-comment period; no board action was recorded on that item during the meeting.
