Parents tell Rockport Fulton ISD board baseball program is 'failing'; cite errors, low batting average and coach accountability concerns

Stock told trustees the team had committed "65 errors in 22 games," had a district record of 1–4 and "the second worst batting average in district with a 1 88," which he framed as evidence the program is regressing and that players are leaving the program.
Stock asked the board to review the letter and consider steps to strengthen coaching, practice fundamentals and accountability. The board accepted the public comment and the letter offer; no formal action was taken at the meeting. Trustee responses during the public-comment item were limited to listening and acknowledging receipt of the concern.
Next steps: the board did not schedule an immediate agenda item for the complaint during the public meeting; parents said they would provide the letter to the board and follow up through email and board procedures for complaints.
