The Boulder City Historic Preservation Commission fleshed out activities and assignments for Historic Preservation Day and set deadlines for promotional materials.
Staff asked commissioners to select leads and confirm the program schedule so staff can finalize a flyer for distribution. Member Weingart will coordinate the 9 a.m. historic preservation award presentation with Patricio Financial; Commissioner 7 volunteered to present a history of the Bullock Field hangar in a smaller, limited‑access space; Commissioner 8 volunteered to coordinate children’s activities at the hangar. Staff noted the final flyer must be ready in advance to meet the April 15 utility mailer deadline.
Commissioners discussed possible scavenger‑hunt activities, children’s crafts, and hosting a small exhibit and interpretive materials at the water filtration plant during the event. Staff said communications will assist with outreach, including social media, press releases and a digital billboard placement. Commissioners agreed to develop drafts for their assigned elements and report back at the next meeting so staff can complete a final flyer.
