Quincy High School theater previews 'Footloose' for board, opens Friday

She described set features — including a multi-level bridge roughly 16.5 feet at its highest point and a car front built by a parent volunteer — and laid out the performance schedule: opening night Friday (house opens 6:30 p.m., curtain 7 p.m.), two shows Saturday (2 p.m. and 7 p.m.) and additional performances the following week, including a designated senior night.
Student performers introduced themselves on the record. "I am playing Brent McCormick," said Owen Yates, one of the student leads. Weber told the board the district's tech team and parent volunteers helped install new sound equipment and lighting, and that ticketing has historically been door sales rather than advance purchases.
Board members thanked the students and staff; no formal board action was required for the presentation.
