The Cloverdale Unified School District Board of Trustees approved several fiscal and governance items during the meeting. Trustees voted to accept donations and to adopt the district’s unaudited actuals for 2024–25, and they adopted Resolution No. 226‑06 finding the district in compliance with Education Code section 60119 on sufficiency of instructional materials.
Donations accepted included $616 from the PG&E / Blackbaud Giving Fund to JEH Continuation High School and a donation from Costco Runner Park of 200 backpacks plus a $500 gift card to Jefferson School. Trustee Lopez White moved to accept the donations and a majority of trustees present voted in favor.
Kristen (speaker 8) presented the district’s unaudited actuals, explaining that the district met the current expense formula minimum at 60.38% (the state minimum is 55%), the indirect cost rate is approximately 8.29%, and unrestricted ending fund balance figures were reported (beginning fund balance $1,061,006.74; ending fund balance about $1,200,000; committed board reserves noted). Auditors are scheduled to begin a virtual audit next week and staff will use updated ending balances to prepare the 2025–26 budget for first interim.
Trustee Zekowitz moved to approve the unaudited actuals and Trustee Lopez White seconded; the motion passed among trustees present. The board opened the public hearing on Resolution No. 226‑06 at 6:43 p.m., heard no public comment and closed the hearing at 6:44 p.m. Trustee Garrison moved to adopt Resolution No. 226‑06 (compliance with Ed. Code §60119) and Trustee Lopez White seconded; the resolution was adopted.
All recorded motions and votes in this meeting were taken with Trustee O'Gamion absent; the board’s roll‑call votes were registered as "Aye" without a recorded roll‑call listing of each trustee’s vote in the transcript provided.
