Summary
LaShawn Love of Love Foundation presented community partnerships, including APACS acupuncture therapy, clothing partnerships with G Girls Closet, mobile shower and laundry supports from Community Table, dance‑based wellness programming, and upcoming informational fairs and a Sip & Shop fundraiser.
LaShawn Love of the Love Foundation presented a "Showcase & Share" segment describing community partnerships and services the foundation uses to support transition‑coordination clients.
Love highlighted APACS acupuncture therapy (an ear‑acupuncture modality the presenter said community members have found helpful for PTSD, substance‑use issues, stress and chronic pain), a partnership with G Girls Closet that provides clothing and contributes proceeds to foundation programs, and Community Table mobile showers and laundry services for people who lack access to bathing and laundry facilities. "This program, again, is free for the community," Love said when describing the nonprofit supports available to members. She also described dance/movement programming offered in partnership with Dance with Joy for youth and staff professional development and said the foundation hosts informational community fairs in August to connect residents with resources.
Love invited attendees to use the links she said she would post in the chat and to reach out for more information; meeting hosts said slides and the meeting recording would be uploaded to the HCPCS website.
The presentation was part of a new monthly "Showcase & Share" slot intended to surface community resources and best practices that LCAs, TCAs and other partners can replicate.
