The Boulder City Business License Liquor Board on March 25 approved Class C service-bar liquor licenses for BBB Bakery LLC (Keegan Jacobs) at 1629 Boulder City Parkway and Oceanside LLC DBA China Bistro (Bruce Lee) at 1420 Boulder City Parkway; staff confirmed background checks and fingerprinting were completed.
The Boulder City Business License Liquor Board on March 25 unanimously approved Class C service-bar liquor licenses for two local restaurants.
Brady Preswich, the city’s utility billing/operations manager, told the board the city received an application from Keegan Jacobs for BBB Bakery LLC (doing business as Best Banana Bread), located at 1629 Boulder City Parkway. Preswich said the applicant had submitted a complete application, passed the required background checks including FBI fingerprinting, and met Section 4-2 of the Boulder City code. He said the bakery plans primarily breakfast, brunch and lunch service with grab-and-go bakery items and intends to offer table service drinks — chiefly mimosas at brunch — and not sell alcohol for takeout.
After a brief exchange confirming fingerprinting had been completed and the chair emphasized the license authorizes table service only (no alcohol takeout), a board member moved to approve the license and another seconded. The chair called for the ayes; the board recorded multiple aye responses and the chair stated the motion passed unanimously.
Preswich then presented an application from Bruce Lee for Oceanside LLC, which operates as China Bistro at 1420 Boulder City Parkway. Preswich said the applicant met the code requirements, obtained business licenses and permits, and passed background checks. He told the board China Bistro previously held the same kind of service-bar license and that the new owner planned to serve beer and wine to dine-in customers only. A board member confirmed with staff that fingerprinting was included in the background check.
A motion to approve the service-bar license for Oceanside LLC (Bruce Lee) was moved and seconded. The chair called for the ayes and announced the application was approved unanimously. The chair offered best wishes to the new owners.
The board opened two public-comment periods during the meeting and received no public testimony. With no further business, the chair adjourned the meeting.
