"Total remediation and reconstruction costs are estimated at $5,400,000 and the city's non‑reimbursable portion is estimated at $52,000," the city manager said. The city attorney advised continuing the emergency declaration through completion of the work to facilitate procurement and expedite repairs under public‑construction code provisions.
Council moved and seconded the continuation and approved the recommendation unanimously. The city manager, who said this was her first item as manager, described the item as a fire emergency and thanked staff for their work.
