Wyoming hires Ericsson Northstar for 2026–2030 stormwater utility rate study

The Wyoming City Council on Oct. 21 approved awarding a contract to Ericsson Northstar LLC to perform a comprehensive stormwater utility rate study covering 2026–2030.
Staff told the council the city received six proposals (Abdo Financial, Baker Tilly, Ehlers, Ericsson Northstar, Precision Consulting and Reftellus). Staff recommended Ericsson Northstar as the low responsible bidder and said the firm will work with the city engineer, WSB, to coordinate data and ensure compliance with MS4 permitting and operational information. The contract amount cited on the record was $10,425.
Council members discussed the firms’ experience; staff said the principals have extensive experience and in practice will partner with WSB to achieve cost efficiencies. One council member noted Ericsson Northstar had previously worked on the city’s water and sewer rate study.
Council moved, seconded and approved the award by voice vote. Staff said the contractor will begin the study and provide deliverables that will support utility rate decisions through 2030.
