Town staff presented a quarterly update on the 2025 Town of Seymour strategic plan, describing departmental ownership of most sections and a plan to publish progress via ClearGov software. Kurt Miller told the board that nine of 14 strategic plan sections currently have active work items and that ClearGov will provide an interactive public dashboard once the budget and technical integration are complete.
Board members provided feedback on presentation legibility, color coding and the need for a public preface to explain the plan’s mission and metrics. One member requested a key to explain the color scheme; Miller said green indicates active items, red items were completed and white items had not been touched.
After discussion the board voted to disband the volunteer strategic planning committee and transfer strategic planning reporting and dashboard responsibilities to town staff; the motion passed unanimously. Town staff said they will provide regular quarterly updates to the board and integrate historical context into the public dashboard so residents can track progress against the 10‑year plan.
