The borough's engineer reported that P & A Construction was the low bidder for the 2026 road improvement program and that the administration will recommend awarding the contract via resolution R26‑067.
"P and A Construction was the low bidder, so we're recommending an award to that contractor," Mr. Neff said. He listed the streets included in this year's program, including Rutgers Drive; Locust Grove Road; West Park Avenue from Heritage Boulevard to Hope Road/Green Grove Road; Oakdale Drive; Honey Lane; Book Street; Sheila Drive; Silvercrest Drive; White Birch Court; Shay Lane; Woodland Manor; Garrison Drive; Pewter Drive; Pioneer Drive; Williamsburg Drive; and Revere Drive. He said work will likely start in a month or two after contracts and shop drawings are finalized.
Mr. Neff also noted the borough recently received an award from Suburban Consulting Engineers/American Sports Builders Association recognizing the Sycamore Recreation Complex for excellence in design and construction.
The resolution identifying the recommended award was listed on the meeting's consent agenda; the council adopted the consent agenda later in the meeting.
