City staff told commissioners the sewer department requested a resolution to amend the sludge-hauling contract through Dec. 31, 2026, in an amount "not to exceed 400 k," saying the work is needed to continue routine sludge removal for the year.
Staff also described a proposed fair-and-open contract to AKRF Inc. for licensed site-remediation professional consulting services after Millville received two NJDEP notices of violation related to city properties near the airport and at rescue-squad sites. The work described by staff would review past environmental work, recommend actions to remediate contamination, and aim to return the city to compliance with NJDEP requirements.
Separately, the police department’s amendment with Action Uniform was presented as a continuation of uniform services for new officers. Staff said the contracts and amendments were routine departmental matters and explained they will proceed through the standard resolution process.
No formal votes on these contractual resolutions were recorded during the work session; staff presented the items for consideration and said they would appear on the formal meeting agenda as appropriate.
