Wildwood Crest commission approves routine resolutions on EEOC compliance, AI use and park funding

The meeting opened with a resolution authorizing certification of compliance with U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission enforcement guidance on considering arrest and conviction records under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The motion was made, seconded and adopted by roll call; the minutes record two affirmative votes and one absence.
Commissioners then approved a policy establishing the responsible use of artificial intelligence for municipalities participating in the Atlantic County Municipal Joint Insurance Fund. That resolution was moved, seconded and adopted by roll call.
The commission authorized the use of urban enterprise zone assistance funds designated for the borough of Wildwood Crest from fiscal year 2026 to finance Centennial Park improvements. That resolution, describing the allocation for the Centennial Park improvement project, was moved, seconded and adopted by roll call.
Members also approved a modest billing adjustment — canceling an erroneous 2020 sewer rent charge of $39.87 for the property at 201 West Pittsburgh Avenue — and authorized re‑advertisement of a notice to bidders for supply, installation and servicing of vending machines. A motion that all properly authorized bills be paid, and approval of minutes from Feb. 18 and Mar. 4, 2026, were likewise adopted.
The commission accepted reports submitted for the month ending Feb. 28, 2026 from the court administrator, chief financial officer, tax collector, the police chief, the recreation supervisor, the construction official, fire prevention, the EMS coordinator and the Wildwood Crest Volunteer Fire Company chief.
