Director Kyle Horvath presented a 12-month Placer.ai analysis of visits to the Bristlecone Convention Center, summarizing visitation trends, top visitor zip codes, age and income demographics, visitor journeys and hours of visits. Horvath said the center's growth versus past years is a positive indicator for ongoing tourism marketing.
Marketing Manager Errol Porter reported that views, visits and engagements were up across Facebook, Instagram and Twitter during the past month and highlighted top-performing content and targeted local digital ad campaigns for the warmer season. Porter said the department added 25 new locations into Placer.ai and plans multiple campaign launches; he noted June 7 as the targeted reopening date for Cave Lake and said vendor fees will be waived for that day.
Staff updates also referenced an Irish tour-operator familiarization trip and continued signage grant work. Director Horvath and staff said they will continue to provide live updates on downtown construction and event calendars as campaigns ramp up for the summer season.
