"14 passenger buses are used frequently because they don't have to have a CDL," the district presenter said while describing the need to maintain activity and route capacity.
Bids were received from Ross Transportation and Holt Truck. The board moved to accept the lowest responsive bids, with Ross recommended for the two route buses and Holt Truck recommended for the 14‑passenger vehicle. The motion to approve the transportation bids was recorded and passed during the meeting; board members voiced recorded 'Yes' votes where documented.
Board members indicated the purchase would allow the district to meet growing needs for long road trips and activity transportation, and staff will return with purchase orders, delivery timelines and any trade‑in details. The board approved follow‑up steps to execute contracts and report back when ordered vehicles are on track for delivery.
