The Sayreville Planning Board approved an amended final major site plan Dec. 3 for Bass Pro Shop signage, allowing reallocated façade logos and a newly designed pylon sign that mirrors the building’s rock and gable motif.
Attorney Jennifer Phillips Smith said the applicant is not seeking additional variances and that the signage updates follow previously approved building footprints and infrastructure. Project executive Mark Veda and Bass Pro architect Eric Albers described the sign changes as part of an ongoing design refinement tied to the store’s interior merchandising and brand identity; Albers said some signs were reallocated to provide visibility for specific product areas and that a pylon sign was added to direct motorists into the development.
The board opened the public portion; no members of the public spoke. After brief board discussion the item passed by roll‑call vote.
