The Shelton Planning and Zoning Commission accepted three new land-use applications for formal public hearings to be held March 25. The accepted applications are:
• Application 2608/PDD (6255 Canal Street) — 6255 Canal Street LLC proposes a major PDD modification to create 48 two-bedroom residential units with on-site parking and related site changes.
• Application 2609 (zone map change) — Baronta Building and Renovation LLC seeks a zone map change for 276 Leavenworth Road (±3.3 acres) from R1A to R1A (note: application text as read at the meeting) and related documentation was confirmed complete.
• Application 2610/PDD subdivision — Dominic Thomas for F and S Shellen LLC for a re-subdivision at 745–801 Bridgeport Avenue to create Lots 3A and 3B (building identified as 779 Bridgeport Ave was described in the submission).
Commissioners moved and seconded acceptance motions and then set public hearings for March 25, 2026. Staff confirmed required application materials and referrals were complete for the items accepted. No substantive debate occurred during acceptance motions.
