Sixco reports progress on partnerships, stakeholder outreach and an imminent MOU

Derek Hembd provided a brief update to the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners on Dec. 1 about Sixco’s recent activities and partnerships. Hembd said Sixco is engaging various county stakeholders, is meeting with Economic Development Administration leadership now that the federal government is open again, and is getting closer to a memorandum of understanding with a partner. He also noted he will attend a Danish Ambassador’s residence event this week as part of outreach.
The Sixco update was informational only and required no board action. Chair Janine Woodworth and commissioners heard the report but did not vote on any related motion.
