Lincoln County commissioners approve consent agenda, vouchers, trapping proclamation and airport grant amendment

At its Dec. 1 meeting the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved the consent agenda (minutes and business licenses), authorized vouchers after a review of fund balances, adopted a proclamation naming November–December as Lincoln County Heritage Trapping Months, and approved an $18,172.99 airport grant amendment for Panaca apron/taxiway rehab.
The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners met Dec. 1 and unanimously approved a set of routine and project-specific actions, including the consent agenda, vouchers, a trapping proclamation and an airport grant amendment. Chair Janine Woodworth presided; the meeting opened at 9:00 a.m. and adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
The board approved the consent agenda, which included acceptance of the Nov. 17 meeting minutes and original and renewed business licenses as recommended by staff. Commissioner Mike Reese moved to approve the consent items and Commissioner Diane Path seconded; all commissioners voted in favor.
Recorder/Auditor Amy Elmer presented cash balances before the board approved the vouchers. She reported the General Fund ending balance at $4,585,069.20 and the Federal in Lieu fund at $1,042,953.78. The Grants fund showed a negative ending balance of $110,327.37 but reimbursement was received the same day, and the Detention Center fund had a negative balance of $119,704.03. Solid Waste’s ending balance was $83,939.94. After the presentation Commissioner Mike Reese moved to approve the vouchers and Commissioner Diane Path seconded; the motion passed with unanimous support.
The board also adopted a proclamation declaring November and December as Lincoln County Heritage Trapping Months. Commissioner Mike Reese moved for approval; Commissioner Diane Path seconded and the proclamation passed unanimously.
Separately, the board approved a grant amendment for the Lincoln County Airport for the Panaca apron/taxiway rehabilitation (AIP No. 3-32-0016-019-2025). The total amendment is $18,172.99, of which the Federal Aviation Administration share is $17,264.34 and the county match is $908.65 to be paid from the Airport Match fund. Commissioner Diane Path moved to approve the grant amendment; Commissioner Lisa Poulsen seconded and the motion passed with all voting in favor.
The board took no votes on items listed as covered under separate agendas and had no sheriff’s report. The meeting adjourned at 10:00 a.m.
