Board announces appointment of Brian Stanley as principal of Jefferson Elementary

President Flynn said the appointment was approved in closed session and summarized Stanley’s background: three years as an elementary assistant principal in Boston, service in California since 2023 as an intervention specialist in the East Whittier City School District, a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and human development and a master’s degree in special education from Boston College, and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in educational administration from the University of Massachusetts Boston. Flynn also noted Stanley is pursuing a Doctor of Education at USC and has extensive experience as an elementary special education inclusion teacher.
"Please join me in congratulating and welcoming Mr. Brian Stanley to Jefferson and our Redondo Beach community," President Flynn said. The board described the appointment as the outcome of an interview panel that praised Stanley’s personality, experience and collaborative approach.
