Oscoda County approves multiple hires and acknowledges resignations across departments

The Oscoda County Board of Commissioners on May 13 handled multiple personnel matters across county departments.
Park Manager Jimmy Vance's personnel items were approved: the re-hire of Richard Carl Mailhot (part-time seasonal, start May 4, up to 28 hours/week, $12.48/hr) and hiring of Dawn Smith (part-time seasonal, start May 18, up to 28 hours/week, $12.48/hr). Both motions carried 5-0.
Sheriff Taylor Kann informed the board of two resignations: Allison Herrell (part-time administrative assistant, effective May 15) and Courtney Lindstrom (full-time dispatcher, effective May 19). The board authorized advertising and hiring for the dispatcher position with a starting wage of $18.39/hr (eligible for county benefits) and authorized hiring a part-time administrative assistant at $15.00/hr (not eligible for benefits).
EMS Director Robert Stankiewicz's hiring of Kerrie Eisbrenner as a part-time contingent EMT (start April 24, $17.30/hr, not eligible for county benefits) was acknowledged. County Administrator/HR Director Michelle Knepp presented and the board acknowledged the hiring of Lucy Lloyd as a part-time Veterans Service Officer (start May 19, $17.60/hr, not eligible for benefits).
All personnel motions were presented as acknowledgments or authorizations and were carried by unanimous vote when recorded.
