Council approves Wood Fire Foods liquor license and temporary permits for PropelDL, waives PropelDL fees

Detroit Lakes council held a public hearing on a liquor and Sunday license application from Wood Fire Foods LLC for 811 8th Street SE. No members of the public spoke and the council, following the Liquor & Gambling Committee's recommendation, approved the licenses by motion and voice vote.
Separately, the Liquor & Gambling Committee recommended and the council approved a temporary intoxicating license for PropelDL for On-the-Beach during PolarFest in February, with the designated area fenced for service. PropelDL also requested a waiver of licensing fees (three permits at $150 each). After committee discussion, council approved waiving the fees in exchange for up to $1,000 of in-kind sponsorship from PropelDL.
