Commission approves routine vouchers, contracts and several personnel actions

The Lincoln County Board of Commissioners approved routine financial and personnel items during its May 5 meeting in Pioche.
Recorder/Auditor Amy Elmer reported fund balances, including a General Fund balance of $3,783,287.64 and other fund balances for federal in-lieu, grants, detention, and solid waste. Commissioners approved vouchers on a motion by Mike Reese.
The board approved renewals of public defense contracts with Katschke Law and Manuele Law. The board accepted the resignations of Pioche Town Board members Sharron Faehling and Lola Devlin and authorized advertising the resulting vacancies.
Personnel actions approved included advertising and hiring for a District Attorney administrative assistant, approving a museum worker replacement, creating a Solid Waste Tech/Operator 2 position, and opening the solid waste supervisor position internally for one week before public posting, with job description and pay grade to be set at a later meeting. Motions were moved and seconded by commissioners and carried unanimously.
The board also authorized a letter of support for a Rural Marketing grant for the Lincoln County Authority on Tourism and approved a Nutrition Services Incentive Program (NSIP) subaward of $4,399. No votes were taken that altered department budgets at the meeting and several items were informational only.
