West Orange board approves personnel, curriculum and finance items

At its Aug. 26 meeting the West Orange Board of Education approved a slate of routine items on the consent agenda.
Motions to approve the closed and public minutes of 07/22/2024, personnel items A1–A8, curriculum and instruction items B1–B4, C — special services items A1–A4 and business office items B1–B23, and reports item D1 were moved, seconded and approved on roll call. Individual roll-call confirmations were recorded for each motion.
Superintendent Moore recognized retirees Elmer Camillo (24 years), Liermanda Da Silva (8.5 years) and Michael Pacquiano (33.5 years) and thanked them for their service to West Orange and its students.
The board announced the next meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 16, 2024, in the West Orange High School Library/Media Center. A motion to adjourn carried and the meeting was closed.
No votes on new policies or contracts were recorded in the meeting minutes provided.
