Sheboygan County Human Resources Committee approves multiple personnel actions, honors chair

Human Resources Director Dave Loomis, speaking on behalf of District Attorney Joel Urmanski, requested approval of an out-of-cycle pay adjustment; Supervisor Tom Wegner moved to approve and Supervisor Char Nennig seconded. Sheriff Matt Spence requested approval to re-implement the Correctional Training Officer incentive; Supervisor Char Nennig moved, Supervisor Carl Nonhof seconded and the motion carried.
Health and Human Services Director Matt Strittmater requested a change to the table of organization, two vacant position requests and a temporary pay adjustment. Supervisor Christian Ellis moved to approve the table-of-organization change and the vacant position requests, with Supervisor Tom Wegner seconding as noted; separate motions to approve the temporary pay adjustment also carried. Dave Loomis presented a separate temporary pay adjustment on behalf of Finance Director James Webb; Supervisor Carl Nonhof moved, Supervisor Tom Wegner seconded and the committee approved the request.
The committee approved the March 23, 2026 meeting minutes on a motion by Supervisor Tom Wegner, seconded by Supervisor Char Nennig. The committee also approved vouchers on a motion by Supervisor Tom Wegner, seconded by Supervisor Carl Nonhof. In each case the minutes record that the motion "carried"; no roll-call vote tallies are specified in the transcript.
Loomis recognized Committee Chair Edward Procek for his years of service as a county board supervisor and HR committee chair. Loomis also provided brief updates including 2027 budget preparation and InHealth Center improvements.
