Other approvals included:
- An annual Microsoft licensing renewal for email and cloud hosting not to exceed $58,507.50 (moved by Commissioner Cindy Garber, seconded by Commissioner Brad Howard). The licensing motion passed by roll call, 6 yeas and 1 nay (Commissioner Matthew Shepard opposed).
- Purchase of two 2026 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 4WD Crew Cab police-package vehicles and outfitting costs not to exceed $134,923.52 (moved by Commissioner Josh Haley, seconded by Commissioner Brad Howard). The vote was 7-0.
- Purchase of one Police K-9 not to exceed $10,500 (moved by Commissioner Josh Haley, seconded by Commissioner Bill Johnson). The vote was 7-0.
- Approval to fill one FOC Support Caseworker position not to exceed a Grade 4 (moved by Commissioner Josh Haley, seconded by Commissioner Cindy Garber); the motion carried.
- The board approved several committee minutes (Economic & Physical Development; Finance & Administration; Public Safety & Courts; Health & Human Services) as presented.
- Reappointments of Ben Frederick, Charles Dodge and Shelly Ochodnicky and the appointment of Dr. Kamal Ghazi to the Shiawassee Health and Wellness Board were approved on a motion by Commissioner Cindy Garber, seconded by Commissioner Gary Holzhausen.
Public comment included a brief remark by Tom Manke of Owosso referencing a Michigan State Police incident in Owosso Charter Township. Chairman Gregory Brodeur reported on the Morrice Senior Center, a Community Mental Health lawsuit and YMCA facility-improvement earmark funds. County Administrator Dr. Boggs said the county audit will be presented to the board in May and noted ongoing union negotiations covering three court contracts. The meeting adjourned at 5:36 p.m.
