The Little Falls City Council authorized the purchase and equipment setup for two 2026 Ford Police Interceptor Utility vehicles and approved funding the work from the 2026 capital improvement budget.
Police Chief Kyle told the council the department will reuse as much equipment as possible from retired squads to control costs and listed specific vendors and line-item charges including light bars, push bumpers, cages, radio installations, a cradle point, an in-car computer, graphics and stop sticks. Chief Kyle said the equipment and setup costs are included in the 2026 capital improvement budget.
Council moved and voted to approve the purchase and equipment contracts after Chief Kyle’s presentation. Staff said reuse of existing hardware will help reduce the net cost to the city.
The council did not direct additional follow-up beyond usual procurement and capital-program reporting.
