Idette (Ida) Groff presented the Lancaster County Academy operating budget at the April 13 meeting and outlined a small operating shortfall covered by fund balance.
Groff said the cost per seat will be $5,727 next year, up from $5,507. She reported the academy’s largest increases were in educational services (staffing, software and equipment) tied to growth; the budget showed an "over/under" shortfall of $24,120 that the academy expects to cover from its fund balance. Groff said Conestoga Valley purchased 11 seats and all but one are currently filled; she estimated occupancy around the mid‑60s percent for some locations.
Groff noted Park City site work relied heavily on volunteer help for renovations and said the return on investment includes anticipated graduates from the program.
