The East Meadow Union Free School District Board of Education voted 7–0 on April 15 to adopt revisions to Policy 360 (wellness), the policy that addresses student health, nutrition and physical activity.
Administrators presented the second reading of the policy and stated there were no changes since the first reading. "This is an existing policy, and the revisions address student health, nutrition, and physical activity," the presenter said, explaining that the policy language was updated to reflect the district’s current practices.
After the presentation, the board considered a motion to approve the policy; trustees voted unanimously in favor. The meeting record shows the motion was seconded and the board called the vote: "All in favor? 7–0." The board did not attach any additional amendments during the meeting.
The district said the revised policy will be reflected in board materials and implemented districtwide.
