Board ratifies payables, approves payment to Bath Lumber with abstentions; sets new monthly meeting time

The White Pine County Tourism and Recreation Board on Aug. 26 ratified routine payables and approved a change to its monthly meeting schedule.
Member Jason Bath moved to pay check numbers 12600 through 12633 totaling $226,197.88, excluding check no. 12605 to Bath Lumber; Member Janet VanCamp seconded and the motion carried with one abstention. Member Mary Valencia disclosed she would abstain from that vote because she is employed by the Jailhouse, which appears on the payables list.
Separately, the board approved payment of check no. 12605 to Bath Lumber in the amount of $658.61. Member Jason Bath disclosed a family interest in Bath Lumber and abstained from that vote; the motion carried with one abstention.
The board also voted to change its regular meeting date and time to the fourth Wednesday of each month at 5:30 p.m., beginning in September 2025. That motion passed. The meeting adjourned at 4:57 p.m.
