Tourism board approves Bristlecone renovation scope, OKs $74,116 in capital grants and a $35,350 budget augmentation

Horvath said the $350,000 grant’s first installment was recorded in the prior fiscal year while the related expenses posted to the current fiscal year; the board approved an augmentation of $35,350 to reconcile the fund balance to $135,350. Member Elizabeth Woolsey moved the augmentation; Member Jason Bath seconded and the motion carried.
During a single roll call of capital improvement grants, the board approved awards for eight agenda items: $4,032 to the White Pine Public Museum (CAP 001-25), $11,000 to the White Pine Community Choir Association (CAP 002-25), $20,000 to White Pine County Ag. District 13 (CAP 003-25), $5,000 for the Lund Rodeo Association (moved to Outdoor Recreation Facilities; CAP 004-25), $4,700 to the Ely Renaissance Society (CAP 005-25), $13,000 to the White Pine Main Street Association (CAP 006-25), $10,065 to the Nevada Northern Railway Foundation (CAP 007-25), and a $6,318.68 item for the White Pine Horse Races (CAP 008-25 appears on the record).
