The Douglas County Board of Commissioners approved three separate orders on Jan. 28, 2026, incorporating territory into local fire districts, the meeting packet shows.
1) Calapooia Rural Fire District: The Board approved an order incorporating territory filed by The Bonnie G. McGinnis Revocable Trust (parcel R25416). The packet states the petition was signed by 100% of the property owners and complied with ORS 198.800–198.857.
2) Tenmile Rural Fire District: The Board approved annexation of parcels advanced by chief petitioner Gary Denny, described in Exhibit A as parcels R68873, R68880, R68887 and R68908; legal descriptions and boundary descriptions appear in the packet.
3) Douglas County Fire District 2: The Board approved an order incorporating territory submitted by the Hill Family Trust dated March 19, 2019, for property R129462 (Lot 13, Winchester Ridge 1st Addition).
Each order states the county found the petition complied with statutory requirements and statewide planning goals and that no objections were filed at the public hearings. The packet includes Exhibit A maps and legal descriptions for each annexation. The documents do not include roll-call vote tallies in the printed packet.
